Roavy is a mobile app that helps motorbike riders save reference photos and recreate them out on the road. It is operated by No Hands Automation (contact: steven@nohandsautomation.com), referred to below as “we” or “us”. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and what your rights are. It applies to the Roavy Android app and this website.
What we collect
Account details
When you create an account we collect your email address and use it to sign you in and to contact you about your account. We do not require your real name.
Photos you save or capture
The photos you save as references, and the photos you capture and keep in the app, are uploaded to your private library so they sync to your account. They are visible only to you; there is no public feed.
Usage and progress data
The app records how you use it — for example which references you recall, capture attempts, and progress over time. We use this to make the app’s core loop (save, recall, capture, compare, progress) work, and in aggregate to understand what to improve.
Feedback (optional)
If you choose to send feedback, we receive whatever you write and the email you send it from. This is entirely optional.
Camera
Roavy uses your camera to show the live view with your reference photo ghosted over it. The live camera feed is processed on your device only — nothing is stored or uploaded unless you take and save a photo.
Location — not currently collected
Roavy does not currently collect location data. As we add features such as route planning, we may collect additional data. We will update this policy and notify users before we do.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell your data. To anyone, for anything.
- We do not show third-party advertising.
- We do not use your photos to train AI models.
- We do not access your camera roll beyond the photos you explicitly pick or save.
Where your data lives
Your account, photos, and progress data are stored with Supabase, in a data centre in the European Union. This website is hosted by a third-party cloud hosting provider, which only handles website visitor data (for example, IP address and access logs) — not app user content. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and data-processing terms; they do not get to use your data for their own purposes.
Legal basis
We process your data to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract), and in limited cases based on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and improving it. For anything optional — like the future location feature — we will ask for consent first.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your data is removed as described on the account & data deletion page — deletion is completed within 30 days, with short-lived backups purged on their normal cycle after that.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to restrict or object to how we use it. Email steven@nohandsautomation.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Children
Roavy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters — like adding the location feature — we will update this page and note the new date at the top. Significant changes will also be flagged in the app.
